Passing of another.

Once again The Philippine Fashion industry lost one of it's most talented designers.
Brian Leyva lost his life yesterday,
March 31st 2010.
It was said that Brian was mugged, and was shot in the head.
Again, a pointless killing.
We hope justice is served and that the person who did it will realize how wrong his action was.
Taking someone else's life to make a life for your own is never a good place to start.
It is also not a good foundation to build your life at.

The Philippine Fashion Industry will surely miss not just his talent but him as a person.
Knowing him as a person makes us sad because he is genuinely a nice person inside and out, and everyone would say so.

Our deepest condolences to his family.

We know he is in a better place now.

Summer Lovin'

Summer is here once again!

A reason for some to show more skin,

but all in all just an amazing season to play under the sun!

The weather isn't the only thing that's hot,

trends for this summer sizzled the Spring Summer 2010 catwalks

and will definitely sizzle the beaches as you notice these key pieces.

So before you strut your way like a baywatch bodyguard,

take note of these trends;

MIXING PRINTS

While it may sound wild and crazy,

mixing patterns can actually be a way of introducing subtle, rich interest into an outfit.

Just be careful not to overdo it.

Mix patterns that will complement each other

and will make your ensemble a complete look!

MILITARY

There’s just something about androgyny that captures our attention.

Linking it to society, it shows how far we’ve come.

This trend has been with us for a while now,

but it's slowly evolving showing and or focusing into more details.

DENIM

A classic fashion staple.

As much as I would like to say

you can never go wrong with denim, you actually can.

Choose interesting but amazing dyes, fades or details.

Some may look nice but not on you.

If you’re unsure, always keep in mind less is more.

If you’re brave enough,

jump right in and pick that great wash

that suits your color and style!

FLORAL

You can expect girls to look like girly girls dressed in floral prints. And it is about time.

The look that comes with this trend is casual and relaxed.

Contemporary Fashion is flourishing by lining up the latest trends in patterns and designs.

From vivid to moderate chic compositions as well as maxi and mini prints all managed to offer a blooming and spectacular allure to the clothes.

ROMPERS

Jumpsuits & Rompers are a must-have this season!

By definition, rompers are one-piece garments (often resembling a top and shorts), which typically fit loosely on the body so you can move around with comfort and ease.

Although the romper has often been associated with children’s fashion,

it’s definitely going to be a staple in women’s beachwear.

Whether you call it a romper or a jumper,

you can’t deny that this beachwear style is so adorable and comfortable,

that you’ll never want to take it off—which is a good thing,

since the romper is definitely going to be

THE sexiest beachwear basic you would want to have!

What went down at Boheme

Last January 30, 2010 the unconventional happened in RCBC Hexagon Lounge as music and art collided into producing something wonderful. UP JMA Team Pubevent’s Bohème, a one-night non-traditional exhibit and black lights party changed the college party landscape as it served to culminate Viva La Vie Bohème, the organization’s installation art contest that was opened to all college students.

In Bohème, dreams came to life in the form of bohemian-inspired installation art pieces displayed in RCBC Hexagon lobby; people wrote about their eccentricities and fantasies on black walls using chalk that glows against black lights enabling bursts of colors in the backdrop.

The event was highlighted by a performance from Rent the Musical for that bohemian vibe. As with the awesome beats and music, drummers from Kuwago, Tonight We Sleep and Enemies of Saturn captivated the audience along with I Love You X Future’s DJs Chie Castaneda and Diego Mapa from Pedicab.

Bohème was co-presented by 9 Works Theatrical, I Love You X Future, Azta Urban Salon and Southern Comfort in cooperation with John Robert Powers and Party Shaker Mobile Bar. It was also made possible by Capteme Photo Booth, Click ‘d Fun Photobooth, Rage Lights and Sounds and Hotshots, together with its media partners:Underground Radio 105.9, NU 107, RX 93.1, Status, Bounce, Garage, Clickthecity.com, Code-Limited.com,

A Queen's passed away.

British Designer Alexander McQueen was found dead.
Reports do not specify how he was found.

McQueen was 40 and one of the most notable Fashion figures around.
He was recognized by his eccentric designs, which made hollywood stars flock to him for his creations.
He was also one if not the one, who rebuilt the once falling british fashion industry.

The Fashion Industry is mourning for this great loss.
