Here's some trivia,
Did you know Danica's mom won the Ford Supermodel of the World Philippines title?

Charlene Almalvarez was a runner up on 2010's Ford Supermodel of the World and
In 2006, Charo Ronquillo won 3rd place.
Guess it was just a matter of time, 'till we grabbed the top spot!

The New Catwoman

We're sure most of you has heard that one of the sexiest fictional character's from DC Comics has finally been named.
Anne Hathaway landed the role of Cat Woman on the newest installment of Batman.
In case you didn't know, other actresses up for the part were Jessica Biel and Keira Knightly.
That's some heavy competition right there.

Anne has been on our radar ever since she portrayed the Geeky Teen who had a major makeover from Princess Diaries. Since then, we couldn't keep our eyes off her.
And of course, who could forget The Devil Wears Prada??

From then on we saw her bloom on the red carpet, most of the time (if not all the time I guess?) in the best dressed.

Anyway, here's to try and make you imagine Anne as Cat Woman!

We can't wait how she'll do on this movie!

Mostly the trends were modernized and designers had their own versions of the trend.
Some worked, some didn't. Almost each season there is a new trend making a comeback, so if you don't want to look out of date, you better make sure you know what's next.

For Spring 2011, Designers and Fashion experts say 70's is making a comeback.

Here's an excerpt from an article at Shine (Yahoo!)

"Designers like Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Taylor, Tracy Reese, and Chris Benz all sent '70s-inspired silhouettes down their spring runways while the flared and wide-leg pants characteristic of the disco era were included in collections by Anna Sui, Tory Burch, Derek Lam, and Jason Wu to name a few."

Kate Middleton, Fashion's new It Girl

As soon as Prince William and Kate Middleton Announced their engagement, everyone in the world immediately got on their computers and tried to figure out who she is.

I think everyone has heard about Kate Middleton being Prince William's long time girlfriend.
People who have been following the Royal prince's life would probably not be shocked by the news of the engagement and thought it was just a matter of time. And they were right.

Kate was a simple girl. She came from a simple family and was never used to the attention that her relationship got her. (Her family's wealth was gotten through hard work by her parents, who used to be just simple employees.) It was even reported that she complained to the prince about getting harassed by the media at one point in their relationship.
And as she got accustomed to being in royal parties and or engagements, people can't help but notice and be drawn to that simple sophistication and elegance she has, with how she dresses and how she caries herself.

She is compared a lot to Princess Diana. And with the public knowing that the ring given to her is a replica of what was given to Princess Diana before, people really can't help but wish for her to have the same appeal Diana had with the public and so far, she's doing a pretty good job. If we can say, better than Princess Diana with the help of modern technology (specifically, the internet)
Since then the attention she has gotten has been hyped to the extremes.

She has been honored best dressed titles by different style trackers (Fashion publications and Online Websites)
And now, "everything she touches turns to gold"

When they announced her engagement, and showed the ring, different jewelry sites were bombarded by people wanting to know how much it was and people in search of replicas.
The Sapphire Issa dress she wore on the same occasion had gotten the same massive attention and were sold out immediately. Other Fashion boutiques has copied the dress' style and has been sold out too.

People in awe of her beauty, people channeling her style and companies wanting to make a quick profit have all their eyes set on her every move.

Surely, everything she wears and does now will make an impact.
But let's hope some people won't take advantage, after all she's now started to get extended care from the Royal family. And you wouldn't wanna go to jail now would you?

Eggplant Dress

If Lady Gaga's meat dress made you cringe more than it made your mouth water, perhaps South Korean artist Sung Yeonju's creations will be more your speed. Yeonju started her "Wearable Food" series two years ago using everday edible items like eggplant, tomatoes, and bubblegum to create stunning dresses and corsets. Per her website, "this series forces viewers to defy the actual meaning, the functionalities, and the aspects of what clothing signifies in our lives."
