In the mood for style

People usually wear clothes that translate to how they are feeling for that particular day.
Using emotions on dressing up does help in completing that look.
Some even use songs, to help them get in the mood.
One of the things you have to make sure when you dress up or one question you ask is
“Do you feel good about what you’re wearing?”
It is important to be comfortable, however sometimes Fashion can make you go beyond what you may expect.
Some people dread wearing 5 inch stilettos, but some people enjoy wearing them. Because it makes them feel really good about themselves.
So before you go out your door and strut your way to your destination,
Ask yourself if you feel good about what you are wearing. ;)

Anna Sui's Gossip girl inspired line for Target
We all know Gossip girl made a huge impact on the Fashion scene.
Here’s good news!!
Now there’s a chance for you to get Jenny, Vanessa, Serena or Blair’s look!
Anna Sui and Target’s collaboration brings us affordable “upper-east side” looks!
"I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers," Sui told WWD exclusively. "I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone. I love Go International and was intrigued with Target's new take on designer partnerships. It's a fresh approach. I was able to select a muse or source of creative inspiration to focus the collection around. It is an exciting challenge to try and interpret my aesthetic into a mass-produced product with a specific inspirational source as the focus."
Can you believe you can buy those Pirate Dresses, Boho Prints, and Square Print Shifts, for under $50!?
Mark your calendars! The collection is slated to hit 250 select Target stores and Target.com from September 13 through October 17!!

Fashion 101
Can you make yourself better at style when you’ve already striked out before?
What if it was more than once? Twice?
The answer is Yes.
Some people may say no, but style is relative.
What you need is an open mind for changes.
First things first!
Do you know who you are?
Yes, I’m asking if you know yourself.
What kind of person are you? What is your lifestyle, hobbies?
Or better yet what personality do you have?
The best way to know what style fits you or what will fit you is if you know yourself well.
Make sure it can adapt to your personality, because at the end of the day, it’s what you feel about yourself that will matter.
The next is to understand your body.
For some this can be tricky. Some may be in denial or some may think this is a sensitive topic to touch.
But rest assured Fashion doesn’t just cater to the skinny blondes. Not that there’s anything wrong with them *coughing!*
You wouldn’t have any clothes to wear now (literally) if you think this doesn’t apply to you.
Everyone has flaws, everyone has their best asset.
What you need to do is to figure these out.
How? Go ask your friends!
Who better to tell you the truth than your real friends?
When these things are done, you’re on your way to possessing that style you’ve been wanting!!
What to do after this?
Research!
One of the best places to find things about style is the internet!
If you’re reading this, start google-ing things up now! ;)
Aside from internet, you may also use books and even tv shows/programs as references.
Here are examples that may be able to help you,

Beautiful News!!
New Series to hit your TV screens soon!!
I’m pretty sure some have already heard of the new upcoming series, Beautiful life where Mischa Barton plays one of the lead roles as one of the models.
It’s certainly another Fashion TV series you shouldn’t miss out on!!
In case you haven’t heard of it, here’s an idea on what it’s all about,
The Beautiful Life is an upcoming drama to add to the list of amazing series CW has. It also stars Corbin Bleu (Zac Efron's best friend in Highschool Musical) and Elle Mcpherson. The show will be executive produced by Ashton Kutcher and will revolve around a group of male and female models sharing a residence in New York. Mike Kelley (Swingtown) will serve as the showrunner for the series, based on the script by former model-turned-writer Adam Giaudrone. The pilot will air on The CW in the fall of 2009. The CW has ordered thirteen episodes for the first season. If the series is successful, the network will order more episodes. Audrina Patridge has landed a recurring role on the show. E Online reported that The Hills' star is signed to appear in 6 episodes.
Here’s a look on the cast that will star on Beautiful Life;

From the looks of it, this will be another amazing series that will keep us wanting more!
Here’s a preview on what’s in store!

As for us in the Philippines, we’ll have to wait ‘till the series comes to us! *sigh*

Season Style
Yes, summer is officially over.
It’s time to start hiding our sun hats, tanning oils and bikinis in the closet, and pull out those raincoats, umbrellas and those chic rainboots you’ve been keeping!
Some say it’s very limiting and it’s really hard to find that perfect ensemble for the rainy season.
Some get all giddy and excited to put out those clothes they’ve hidden waiting for this season to wear them.
Nonetheless, it’s that season which makes everyone wants to be more comfortable and relaxed.Here are a few people who had something to say about this;
“I'd say I can’t not have a big blazer that you can dress up or down. Since it's rainy season and not exactly winter, you can't really go all out winter-wear. So go for lightweight fabrics that still give enough coverage.”
-Kate Paras (Fashion Stylist CHALK Magazine)
“I don’t like payong; must-have: car.”
-Lawrence Antaran (Advertising Creative and Graphic designer)
“Always have with you on a rainy day a chic umbrella, melissa jelly flats and a Nike nylon hoodie to keep you dry.”
-Alyanna Martinez (Fashion Stylist At Large)
“My rainy season fashion must have? Tailored anoraks and clear plastic umbrellas! Clean and crisp clothes! They're so comfortable to wear. No screaming colors, I like muted colors. They’re much classier and sophisticated looking.”
-Dax Bayani (Fashion Designer/Fashion Instructor CSB)
For this season, one thing is evident. Comfortability is one thing we consider before putting those clothes on.
You just got to jazz it up with something that will complete that look! Be it a blazer, a scarf, or those cute little rain boots, just make sure you complement that look with something that will make your ensemble go “wow!”Here are a few suggestions on what to wear,
