In the mood for style

www.bloggingprojectrunway.blogspot.com

Do you base your outfits on what you feel?

People usually wear clothes that translate to how they are feeling for that particular day.

Using emotions on dressing up does help in completing that look.

Some even use songs, to help them get in the mood.

One of the things you have to make sure when you dress up or one question you ask is

“Do you feel good about what you’re wearing?”

It is important to be comfortable, however sometimes Fashion can make you go beyond what you may expect.

Some people dread wearing 5 inch stilettos, but some people enjoy wearing them. Because it makes them feel really good about themselves.

So before you go out your door and strut your way to your destination,

Ask yourself if you feel good about what you are wearing. ;)

U've been Schooled at Ascend

This event was entitled YOU’VE BEEN SCHOOLED!
It was a student organization fundraiser, fashion show, and Back to School Party all in one!
The clothes for the fashion show by ANALOG SOUL, POISONBERRY, PAX WEAR, and CORETEMPO SHIRTS were modeled by the students themselves, hailing from the different participating universities and colleges.
Students from the partner organizations -- ATENEO AIESEC and COSA, College of ST. BENILDE Student Council, DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY ADCREATE Society, MIRIAM COLLEGE CCATT MODELS, and the UNIVERSITY of the PHILIPPINES JPIA – were in full force during the party.
The main feature of the event was an amazing performance from 2 DJs with 4 turntables playing simultaneously! The 2 VIBEMANILA DJs were DJ ARYAN and DJ NIX DAMN P, who were spinning LIVE MIXES and REMIXES of sexy RnB, HIPHOP beats, and rockin’ MASHUP sets. The set was opened and closed by another VIBEMANILA DJ, DJ PALO HAN.
The energy was high all throughout the party, and peaked with an attendance of more than 1200 guests inside the main room of Ascend.
It was a night that school rivalries were set aside, good vibes prevailed, and solidarity took place through music and the performance of 2 VIBEMANILA DJs! DJ ARYAN and DJ NIX DAMN P!

Hosts of the Event

Greenbelt 5 event

Greenbelt 5 pays tribute and celebrates local designers.

It's exciting to be on this event and meet a lot of interesting people in the local fashion scene. It shows us how talented we Filipinos truly are.

The Filipino Zone comprises two floors. For the first time, many of these fashion designers opened their ateliers to a larger market in a convenient venue.

Names such as Kate Torralba, Vic Barba, Lila Almario, Randy Ortiz, Jojie Lloren, Amina Aranaz, Ivarluski Aseron, Joey Samson, Jun Escario, Lulu Tan Gan, Dennis Lustico, Ana Rocha, Butch Carungay, Patrice Diaz, Arnel Papa, Michi Calica, Cesar Gaupo, Victoria Marin, Choc, Religioso, AC 632, Ricky Toledo and Chito Vijandre.

And then there’s Adora, the lifestyle store that takes “attention to detail” to a whole new level, from the plush and textured wing chairs and ottomans scattered all around the three floors to the mirrors in the bathrooms and the chandeliers. It’s truly a beautiful store that’s fresh and elegant.

Anna Sui and Target’s collaboration brings us affordable “upper-east side” looks!

"I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers," Sui told WWD exclusively. "I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone. I love Go International and was intrigued with Target's new take on designer partnerships. It's a fresh approach. I was able to select a muse or source of creative inspiration to focus the collection around. It is an exciting challenge to try and interpret my aesthetic into a mass-produced product with a specific inspirational source as the focus."

Can you believe you can buy those Pirate Dresses, Boho Prints, and Square Print Shifts, for under $50!?

Mark your calendars! The collection is slated to hit 250 select Target stores and Target.com from September 13 through October 17!!

Fashion 101

Can you make yourself better at style when you’ve already striked out before?

What if it was more than once? Twice?

The answer is Yes.

Some people may say no, but style is relative.

What you need is an open mind for changes.

First things first!

Do you know who you are?

Yes, I’m asking if you know yourself.

What kind of person are you? What is your lifestyle, hobbies?

Or better yet what personality do you have?

The best way to know what style fits you or what will fit you is if you know yourself well.

Make sure it can adapt to your personality, because at the end of the day, it’s what you feel about yourself that will matter.

The next is to understand your body.

For some this can be tricky. Some may be in denial or some may think this is a sensitive topic to touch.

But rest assured Fashion doesn’t just cater to the skinny blondes. Not that there’s anything wrong with them *coughing!*

You wouldn’t have any clothes to wear now (literally) if you think this doesn’t apply to you.

Everyone has flaws, everyone has their best asset.

What you need to do is to figure these out.

How? Go ask your friends!

Who better to tell you the truth than your real friends?

When these things are done, you’re on your way to possessing that style you’ve been wanting!!

What to do after this?

Research!

One of the best places to find things about style is the internet!

If you’re reading this, start google-ing things up now! ;)

Aside from internet, you may also use books and even tv shows/programs as references.

Here are examples that may be able to help you,
